What kind of ticket?

Look at the top of the letter or the sticker on your windscreen.

Ticket type From the councilSays Penalty Charge Notice (PCN). Issued by a local authority or TfL. From a private car parkSays Parking Charge Notice. Supermarkets, retail parks, hospitals, stations.

Not sure which?

Councils say “penalty”. Private companies say “charge” and usually include a company logo and a trade body such as the BPA or IPC. A photo of the ticket works too; you can add one in the next step.
